Honda Zodia Best Motorcycle Design

Future years brought changes of colors but no technical upgrades or redesigned elements could be found on Honda’s 1300cc cruiser. In order for the bike to be upgraded, the VTX series would have to follow its footsteps but we all know that Honda won’t start with the VTX1300 as a bigger machine waits to give the tone. Although similar to the 1800, the engine is not just a smaller bore/stroke but a different design. This lead to great sales numbers and the motor company was satisfied with the results of its new cruiser. This gives us a good expectative and a clear clue of when this machine will be redesigned. The VTX 1300 was introduced with a muscular looking body, being quite long and low to the ground featuring significant rake and trail. It presented unliked brakes, with a single large front disk. The VTX1300 also uses a carburetor unlike the fuel injected VTX1800, and therefore is much simpler in terms of design.

Too good not to post!

Wow!  Speaks for itself!  I'm out of town and just checking in and this is too good to pass up.

Ola,again from Montreal
I thought you might get a kick out of an old winter project of mine;A buddy dropped off an XL250 (that I quickly took the motor out of & gave away the rest). I happened to have an extra frame from a Z50 hanging around. The motor has a performance cam (because you can't go wrong with too much power, most of the time). I used triple trees from a Yamaha TT500 that  were gathering dust in my,tiny, workshop ( the head pipe came from the TT too. Hey, it fit right on !).. The rear sprocket was a McGyver 'special'. Footpegs are the old buddy pegs from my CBR900RR.Seat is the passenger saddle from the 900 too.Fuel cell is a modded propane cylinder ( don't try this at home kids !).I think the Supertrapp is off of the XL250 if memory serves.
Performance is....terrifying. Owing to the lack of suspension ( the forks are a joke ), you cannot hold the throttle open. Though when you try, the front wheel comes up...in EVERY gear! Great fun because it looks like a regular Z50 from the front (except for the TT500 clamps & bars) so folks don't appreciate what's about to catch & pass them.

Simple and spectacular!!  Thanks Again!!

Built by Gene and Ron Atherton.

It is a 83 Honda VT500 Ascot. It was our ice bike, before that Gene tried to dirt track it but it didn't work out. We built it during the winter of 09. Gets road most ever day in the summer.

Thanks
Ron

Honda have finally released official specs for the all-new VFR1200F, which is possibly the most eagerly-awaited Honda in recent years. The bike is powered by a 1,237cc V4 that produces 172 horsepower at 10,000rpm and 129Nm of torque at 8,750rpm. Kerb weight is 267kg.The VFR1200F has a vacuum-moulded cast aluminium chassis and suspension components include a 43mm cartridge-type fork at the front and Pro-Link monoshock with gas-charged damper at the rear. The bike is fitted with a single-side swingarm and final drive is via shaft rather than chain, making it clear that this is a sports-tourer rather than an all-out sportsbike. However, the VFR's drive mechanism has been specially designed to eliminate the back-and-forth 'pitching' that's sometimes associated with shaft drive. As expected, the new VFR comes with ride-by-wire throttle control and Honda’s C-ABS anti-lock brakes. The bike is fitted with a conventional six-speed gearbox as standard, while a dual clutch automatic transmission is optional. The latter allows the rider to operate the bike in either full automatic mode, or in manual mode, with clutchless gear shifting via finger-operated paddles. The VFR1200F rides on 17-inch aluminium wheels, shod with 120/70 (front) and 190/55 (rear) rubber. Available colours include red, silver and white. The bike will go on sale early next year, though prices are yet to be announced.

Really Nice Honda VF1000R. Also Known As "The Pig".

I've never ridden one but I've read more than once that the weight of this bike earned it the nickname among racers as "the pig". It's no pig on the eyes though.
