At the moment it wouldn't be my first choice as a ride but it sure as hell wouldn't be my last. This is the kid of ride that keeps kicking around my brain. I get the feeling that if I ever rode one that I might get hooked. A week in the mountains on this with some camping gear, a fishing rod and a camera... hmmm...

I'm starting a new post tag under the word "wanderlust". I see a lot of great shots like this that are more about the journey than the motorcycle and I'm not going to pass them up anymore. What a great shot! Ural should use this picture in their ads... Oh and if you have any cool travel shots like this centered around a bike then please send them in! Preferably with a quick note on the trip/ride.

Ural Has Recalled 6 Models for Transmission Defect

Ural has issued a recall of certain 2007 Gear-Up, Patrol, Retro, Tourist, Tourist LX, and Wolf motorcycles.

On certain motorcycles built with a sidecar and equipped with Herzog transmission gear sets, the transmission main shaft is outside of acceptable tolerance due to incorrect manufacturing of transmission main shaft and specific retaining clips. The main shaft and retaining clips may be defective.

308 units are affected.

Ural Recalls Motorcycles for Improperly Installed Wheel Bearings

Ural has issued a recall of certain 2006 Gear-Up, Patrol, Raven, and Tourist motorcycles.

On certain motorcycles, the wheel bearings may have been improperly installed at the factory. This can cause loose wheels or wheel lock up increasing the risk of a crash.

33 units are affected.
